Providing my students with an indoor garden will help them learn through real-world experiences. It will provide them with the opportunity to learn something that they can carry for the rest of their lives. We will be able to keep daily journals throughout our process as well as learn how to care for living things. Learning the life cycles of plants as well as viewing the process will engage my students in our curriculum. By growing different types of plants we will be able to see the similarities and differences of each plant. This includes vegetables that grow above ground as well as vegetables that grow underground.
