Implementing a sensory corner in my classroom will be beneficial to help alleviate the anxiety and stress that students have experienced due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Transitioning between in person and virtually learning may increase the possibility for more stress and anxiety, especially with special needs students. The corner will provide my students the opportunity to not only calm a sensory over load, but also enable them to successfully complete their daily activities. Students will be able to chose a variety of sensory options. These options will provide tools to nurture all eight sensory systems for students with and without special needs.
