Our high-needs classroom is self-contained. We work on life skills, academics, support therapists, and we even have our own adaptive physical education time to best suite our students. We have a need for hands-on activities that facilitate social/emotional, STEM, language and communication, ELA, physical education, life skills, and more.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our special needs students have been especially affected as they have not only not been in the classroom for one-on-one work with teachers and paraprofessionals, but they have also not been able to be in person with their therapists. Now that we have in-school class at this time, we are able to work on their academic, physical, emotional, and language needs.
