Covid-19 really took an impact on our hands-on based learning. I teach freshman Physical Science. One thing that I've noticed that the students collectively enjoy now that we are back in the classroom is joining together in groups to learn by doing.
With these new hands-on activities, my students will get to feel more like scientists and engineers as they are engaging in lessons where they are actually building what they're learning! Students learn more when they are enjoying what they are doing.
I want to provide adequate lessons by teaching them the standard and then letting them put that new standard to use. Isn't that what Science class is all about? Experimental learning opens up the doors to curiosity and more learning!
