Students in third grade are learning to read for information. They are so curious about the world we live in, and they ask lots of questions to prove it. Most library books they check out are meant for entertainment purposes. A lot of the nonfiction books that we have in our library are outdated. I want to give them a chance to read about current events each week with these magazines. I think that this will spark their interest in this type of reading while improving vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension!

About my class
