The calm corner will be used to allow my students to have an area away from others to calm, reflect, and enjoy quiet time. In our classroom we work on recognizing when we are becoming upset and how to deal with those emotions. The calm space will be an area with visual reminders, comfy seats, and sensory based toys. At any time during the day, the students may request to go to this space to clear their minds. It allows them to take a break to ready themselves for more learning.
