With these new flexible seating options, my students will be able to move freely, but safely while seated at their tables. So many times I have to tell my students to keep all four legs of their chair on the floor. They are constantly leaning back or forward in their chair, which is dangerous.
Flexible seating helps students learn better by allowing them to wobble, bounce, or rock back and forth. It helps by increasing blood flow to their brains, it also helps to build core body strength, which in turn burns more calories and increases metabolism. It keeps students more alert and focused.
It's a win, win situation for both teachers and students! Let's be FLEXIBLE!
