Children will be given the opportunity to play, explore and learn in the "Block Center" with appropriate tools that will be provided by the funding of this project. They will be experimenting, making predictions, sharing discoveries, asking questions and developing critical thinking skills by the use of the hands-on materials provided. They will be provided with many different ways to learn how to “build” letters, numbers, etc., which will then allow them with the experiences needed to help develop their fine motor skills. When all the different senses are incorporated into a learning activity it is more likely that the child will remember the concept that is being taught and give them the confidence and excitement of wanting to learn more.
