The materials I am requesting will be used by students who have a visual impairment. These materials allow those who need additional magnification a hand held magnifier for easy use. Tools are needed for them to access printed materials when completing classwork at home.
We enhance their access to printed material by providing magnification and special lighting. Using a slant board to hold school books will free up hands that are holding magnification devices and can decrease glare on the printed page.
It is my goal to maximize each students potential for learning by providing them with the low tech tools they need. Everyone deserves a chance to do their best.
