Using hands-on learning tools with my students is the best way to fill in the gaps left behind because of COVID-19. I believe students learn better when they are playing and interacting with their learning materials. These materials will work on the skills they are delayed on that COVID-19 has only made greater. Kids love to play and love to learn so mixing the two things together I feel is the best response to these gaps. We as teachers need to learn to adjust to where our students are and how they learn best.
