Our school's Art Fair will provide the students the opportunity to display their talents and creativity to the members of our community. Their projects and work will be displayed and available for purchase to their families and others. Those attending can also choose to donate. All funds will be used for the art classes that serve approximately 95% of our school's population.
All funds will provide the necessary means to purchase supplies, materials, and tools needed by art students to complete future projects.
The supplies, materials, and tools will be used by the students in creating charcoal drawings, in learning to blend and burnish colored pencil drawings, painting of local landmarks, creating sand art, marbling paper, and painting ceramic tiles.
COVID-19 has isolated the students and others. Many have been left alone because their parents need to continue working. Their mental well-being and emotional health have suffered greatly. My hope is that the public's support and interest will foster the students' sense of accomplishment, will encourage them in knowing that each contributes to our community, and will reaffirm to each student their importance as individuals and members of our community and society.
