Covid-19 has caused more underlying problems in education than most people realize. My students are lacking foundations that we are working hard to help build and get them ready for their future. Counting money, simple multiplication, subtraction, and addition are just a few of the foundations some of my students are struggling with this year.
My students are energetic and innovative. Despite coming from a low-income, poverty stricken community, they come to school every day eager to learn. The Math Stacks will help my students close this learning gap that has formed because of the last couple of years.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Stomp rockets are a fun way for students to activate their learning that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This project will be a great addition to our Newton's Law unit. I’m excited to get these kits and do this project with my students.
