These tables will allow each of the 9 Science teachers to have a collaborative table, with whiteboard tabletops, with each of their classrooms in the Blended Learning setting. This will create a space for teachers to interact with students in a small group setting, draw on the tabletops to think through, problem solve and develop strategies and skills that teach students how to interact with the content. In a response to close the gap with student learning due to the time lost during the Covid crisis, research shows that students work best in small groups with their peers and their teacher. This tabletop space can be moved and placed anywhere in the classroom which will allow them to ask specific questions in a small group setting and allow for clarification that is unique to them. Most importantly, this collaborative tablespace creates a supportive environment where the student can work with their teacher and small groups of students in a supportive setting that can be easily moved, and set up anywhere in the classroom.
