The students in my class are newcomers to the United States. They speak Spanish at home and are immersed in daily practice in English at school. These workbooks will be used to support their foundational skills as they navigate this new language.
Each student will have their own workbook and can work at an individual pace. Students will work on practice pages, both with the teacher and independently, as they engage in a print-rich environment. They will build upon a variety of skills using word study, direct vocabulary instruction, and guided reading procedures.
