Students love the mix of historical fiction and time-travel that this book provides. They enjoy the idea of a talking horse that can explain major historical events with a bit of humor. Due to COVID, many of my students are struggling to achieve current grade level reading skills. Finding books that they will read more than a few pages before giving up is extremely difficult. Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims has been my go to book to begin the school year. Since this is a series, they are eager to begin the next book.
