The furniture that I am requesting for my students will meet specific learning and behavioral needs. The classroom tools I have requested will create a calm environment, enhance student focus, provide movement, and maximize learning for my students. We just need your help providing funding in order to get these items in our classroom! The dividers will be placed at the desk of each student to help him/her focus on the task at hand. The stools will provide seating that is made to target the needs of students with attention, anxiety, and behavioral disorders. The movement the stools provide are therapeutic for students with these specific disorders. The furniture will provide an area that is more relaxed and made to accommodate students whose engagement and learning is maximized when he/she is able to choose the position of his/her body while reading and/or writing. The large divider can be used to make a quiet, calm thinking/working space during an episode of anxiety and/or anger. It can also serve as an even more private, quiet space that is free from distractions. For example, if a student is struggling to a higher level, regarding focus.
