I am an EC teacher at two middle schools. My students know little to nothing about Black History. They learn best when using handheld manipulatives and visual materials. When my students arrive to class they are excited and eager to learn new things. The materials I selected will be used to enhance their reading skills while touching on briefly on history.
Each day, I encourage my students to learn something new and there is no limit to what they can achieve. They leave my classroom each day with the thoughts of "I can" instead of thinking about their limits.
