Teaching at a Title 1 school, my students do not have access to the same materials a lot of other children do. My students spend most of their time at school, working, or taking care of their family memebers (a lot of my studetns are parents themselves).
I want my students to WANT to read. I have found that any teenager will want to do something when they are told they cannot. They are intrigued by the idea of Banned Books and showed intrest in reading them. We do not have a functioning library at school where they can check out books and I want to make sure these books are availabe to them at school.
