Remember when you opened up some Legos and you had the opportunity to recklessly create and build? Providing sets of Legos for my classroom will open up the opportunity for a whole slew of possibilities. From building ecosystem models, to designing molecules, practicing technical writing and scientific method. It's important for students to learn how to collaborate and critically think and that is not always easy to teach. I think I have the idea.
I will be using Legos in my classroom to encourage communication and give them opportunities to connect what they see in the real world to the right now. Students will work in small groups to design, engineer, test, and solve problems that they are presented with.
