Special Needs students learn differently, but hands-on experience always produces the best results. With the addition of the range and refrigerator to our upgraded and adapted transition room, our students will learn hands-on about kitchen safety and meeting their basic needs concerning food and nutrition.
The refrigerator and range that I have requested will help my students learn about buying, safety, and preparation of simple balanced meals. This hands-on knowledge is imperative for special students to transition from school to work and home.
All students, regardless of disability, need access to a high quality education, exposure to the world of work, and independent home life including the chance to participate in work experiences, and opportunities to develop daily living skills.
