I am a school counselor for DGG and service over 550 students. I host hands-on activity days, sometimes using sensory items, other times focusing on different authors or themes to teach social-emotional learning in a fun and interactive way. Students attend my counseling room where I have games set up for them to play after we read/discuss a Dr. Suess story and a Dr. Seuss STEM-related group activity and a cooking lesson depending on the grade level and the Dr. Seuss story we are covering. Afterward, the children will take a goody bag with them to enjoy at home. I am requesting Dr. Seuss pencils, memo pads, and games.
