If I had a MacBook, I would be able to project PowerPoints, student work, and screengrabs directly from my laptop to the Promethean Boards. Because students cannot work together in traditional groups due to social distancing, it is integral that all students can show their work to their peers in a meaningful way. This ability to quickly project student work, add student exemplars to Google Classroom, and display projects to the class will allow students to feel more connected to both their work and to each other.
Without appropriate technology in the face of the pandemic, student learning is being disrupted every time there is a shift between classes. Teachers at my school have to move between classes to lessen the student risk of exposure to Covid-19. Some Apple TVs were donated to me at the beginning of the pandemic. Every time we switch classes, five to seven minutes of educational time is wasted due to constant technological issues. This averages out to an hour and forty-five minutes of wasted instructional time a week. With a Mac and an Apple TV in each classroom, I can lessen the time wasted and increase the time spent learning!
