For many weeks on end, in the fall, spring, and summer, the temperature in our 2nd-floor classroom becomes unbearably hot. Students get nosebleeds, complain of nausea, and are uncomfortable and fatigued.
It is difficult to learn and concentrate on this hot and sometimes humid environment. Due to the design of the classroom, there is little to no air circulation. The windows only open inches and the single classroom door opens to a closed in the hallway. There are no awnings on the windows so the classroom is exposed to all day sun. We would love to have a cooling system.
