These students are all heart. They are caring and humble. We are very fortunate that they love books as much as they do. Often times they come into the library knowing what book or type of book they want or what they want to learn about. If I don't have it, we add it to my "wish list" together. Students soak up every second in the library. Once they find their book, they go to a comfy spot and either read quietly to each other or themselves. Sometimes teachers take the opportunity to read them a poem, short story or excerpt. They will find books about people, places or experiences they are learning about in class. Watching their imagination blossom, watching their curiosity grow, feeling their excitement and passion with them... these are the best parts of my job. I am currently the Library and Technology teacher. I run Girls Who Code and Cheer Club. Thank you!
