My students are 9-12 graders living in a rural northwestern PA. I have both verbal and non verbal students. Our school has roughly 950 students. Our school like many others are facing difficult time due to budget cuts. My students love to be engaged in artistic expressive projects. Although they often times struggle with creative thinking, they thoroughly enjoy creating projects that they can showcase. Often times, painting relaxes them and provides them with positive sensory experiences. They also require frequent practice in following directions and sequential projects.
