My students are enthusiastic second graders who are hungry to learn. With more than 80% eligible for free or reduced priced meals, many have not had the literacy experiences that many middle and upper class children take for granted. We've found that providing them with quality literature engages them in a way that allows for true learning to take place. That is the reason for this project!
