My students are amazing and exceptional individuals. They have potential that equals and sometimes exceeds what is expected of students at their age and grade, by demonstrating their huge capacity of empathy for others, their curiosity and wonder in the details of their worlds that go unnoticed and their unconditional aloha for those who are a part of their life.
My students range in abilities from non-verbal forms of communication to using Assistive Technology to challenges in emotional regulation and sensory processing. They come from very diverse backgrounds; in age, culture, language and family background and grade.
They are all steadfast participants in our Hawaiian Language Immersion Program and embrace the vision of KÅ«lia I Ka Nu'u, Striving Towards Excellence. We appreciate what we have and are happy to open up our project to a wider community for those who may be looking for a place to join in support.
