My students are creative and energetic students who seek knowledge. However, we often struggle with poor funding and social stigmas that make my students feel as though education is not the correct path for them. I want my classroom to be a space where they can find ways to appreciate learning. In order to do that, my classroom must be fully stocked with the necessary materials. The school I teach at is in North Miami, many of my students are Haitian immigrants. Our schools is labeled a Title I school as more than 90% of our students are on free or reduced lunch.
