I teach preschool-age children with moderate intellectual and physical disabilities. We explore a variety of school day activities that focus on the quality of life, emphasizing parallel curriculums so that students can access the same learning experiences as their typically developing peers. We promote a multi-model approach to communication so that all students have an opportunity to be heard and understood. Integrated activities allow us to be inclusive agents and a part of our school community. The world around us is our classroom, and we are ready to learn.
