My school is a Title 1 school in a high-poverty area in southeast San Diego. All our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Half of the students are homeless or doubling up with others in a single-family home. Despite these challenges:
My students are resourceful, creative, respectful, intelligent individuals who will grow up to be productive members of society.
In the classroom, I have created a safe, positive environment in which my students thrive in all subject matters. We love hands-on activities and learning through doing. We work together as a team to accomplish anything we set out to do. I teach confident and courageous children who will one day change the world
