My Students are in Middle School Special Education. They come to my classroom for Science and Social Studies. They look forward to Science each class as it is all hands on learning. There are three classes and class sizes, one per grade level, 6,7 & 8th. The population in our school is mostly Mexican American.
In addition to Science I teach Social Studies. In that class the students are learning about government and the constitution. The students are hard workers. Each of the students has an IEP and specific tasks for individualized learning.
Science becomes a FUN time without having to do a good deal of paperwork. My students come to class with enthusiasm and energy and love learning but often lack basic supplies.
