These books will continue to enhance the integrated classroom that I strive to create. The students will be able to choose one of these titles and they will be placed with other peers that have selected the same book. These book groups will not only be reading but they will also be given time and materials to discover the science behind the gadgets described in the adventurous stories. This will not only enhance the joy of reading but also allow students to develop a deeper understanding of science as they tinker with these experiments. Reading is an adventure and my students are creative! This project allows them to improve their reading vocabulary while investigating scientific concepts through literature. I am also seeking math flash cards to enhance student mathematical growth.
