My students are first and second graders who qualify for special education services due to autistic like behaviors. They participate in SDC/SH (Special Day Class/Severely Handicapped) at a public school on campus with general education peers.
My students exhibit several behaviors that interfere with their learning process, ability to access core curriculum and reach their maximum academic potential. Behaviors such as inattention, aggression, and self injury are common.
