I teach in Baltimore City, and I love it. My students are capable and motivated; despite the challenges they face, they consistently show up and give their best. I know what people say about Baltimore—the lack of resources and the obstacles many of our students face—but in my classroom, I refuse to let those limitations define our learning.
I strive to create a space where every student has access to a rigorous education and teachers who care deeply about their well-being. In my classroom, we focus on what we can do, not what we lack, and I work every day to ensure that each student has the tools, support, and encouragement they need to succeed.
