My first grade students are smart, curious and kind. Approximately 90 percent of my students receive free or reduced lunch. In addition to living in poverty, many have also experienced childhood trauma including community violence. One quarter of my class are English Language Learners. My students benefit from materials that provide calming sensory input, rewards that fuel and reinforce positive behavior choices and focused hard work as well as fun and engaging culminating projects that align with our new literacy curriculum. My students deserve the very best and that is what I strive to give them everyday. Thank you for supporting our learning journey.
