My 4th grade students live in a diverse and unique neighborhood. They love their historic neighborhood, their magnet school, and count on their teachers to take care of them. My students also love STEM activities and are budding engineers, problem solvers, techies, artists, activists, and mathematicians. Because over 50% of the students in my class live in poverty, every opportunity or experience that can be provided at school helps them build experiences and create interests.
