You always hear, "It's not what you say, it's how you say it." In my room, however, my classes grammar is so below grade level, that though they have great thoughts they are not heard - or read - because the reader cannot get past the grammar to understand the content. I am a fifth grade teacher, teaching all major subjects, and am in a focus, low-income elementary school.
