My students are 3rd graders that started their Kindergarten year virtual during COVID. They were able to return back to school safely their first grade year. These students struggled or are struggling to close the learning gap caused by the pandemic. Students can become more successful academically with the opportunity to read a book 📚. I have seen it so many times before. These students are eagerly looking to learn more. This school year population is more girls than boys. They enjoy talking with their peers and playing during recess. I have also seen talented artists flourish in my classroom, and a few scientists.
