This year, I have the honor of teaching English to 200 hundred high school seniors. These students have been through a lot in the last two years, and this school year, things are looking better for this group. They're slowly but surely developing social skills lost during the pandemic, feeling motivated to achieve academically, and now have school activities to look forward to.
However, we still have work to do to close the literacy gaps that existed before the pandemic. After two years of online work, my students are enthusiastic about in-class discussions and work. The resources listed for my class will guarantee that each student can enhance the standards we are covering in class, and they will cultivate a desire for life-long learning and reflection.
