I teach students Pre-K- through 6th grade. I am a traveling teacher who currently serves 2 schools. My schools are both "open enrollment" schools which means I have a diverse student body both culturally and economically. My students range from gifted to neurodivergent. As many schools have experienced, our students have lingering effects from covid. This has impacted their behavior as well as they academics.
My students have also had a fair amount of teacher turnover making it harder to master foundational concepts and build new skills. Still they are learning everyday and improving. They work hard and are eager to make art.
