Our world is changing and so are the skills our students need to be successful. As we all know technology is the way of the future. Gone are the days of lectures and worksheets. Using tablets will help me meet all the individual needs of my students, whether it be helping a struggling student or challenging a student ready for the next steps. iPads offer many resources to help in all subject areas as well as improve their technology skills.
My school is a Title I school which means the majority of my students are on free or reduced lunch due to low income. Research shows that students who come from low income families are less likely to have home access to technology compared to affluent families. This is referred to as the digital divide. When students have inadequate opportunities to technology it can hinder them from learning the skills that are vital for success in today's world.
I truly believe that I have some of the most amazing, hard working and well-deserving students sitting in my class. I have no doubt that these very students will be our future leaders in our community. Your donation is greatly appreciated and will impact these students in a grand way! Thank You!
