My students are awesome! They are great kids who need a little extra to find their way. Our district is very low income. Most of my kids eat free or reduced lunch and for many it is the only meal they get. Many come from single family homes. They have not had any formal art classes. They really need a way to express themselves other than words and text messages. We are close to a major university, but most have never been over there. The children are not exposed to the arts!
