My wonderfully creative students come from diverse backgrounds and socio-economic statuses. Most families are working class and are struggling to make ends meet. The majority of my kids are of Latina/o/x , AAPI, and African American heritage. They are brilliant and powerful, discovering their individual and collective voices every day.
