I am a Multilingual Learners (ML) teacher at a Title I school, where myself and another ML teacher support approximately 50 multilingual students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our students are culturally and linguistically diverse, representing a wide variety of countries, languages, and traditions. Some of our students are new to the country, while others have been here longer and are continuing to build their academic language skills.
My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to engage in their learning. A key focus in my classroom is fostering authentic language learning through building background knowledge and hands-on experiences. By engaging students in meaningful, interactive activities, they can connect language to real-world applications, deepen their understanding, and develop confidence in their abilities.
About my class
