My students are my inspiration! I feel so blessed to go to work each day, feeling so valued and loved. I am a proud teacher of an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) that is designed for young children (aged 3-5) with disabilities who need specially designed instruction or related services and whose disability (ies) causes the children to be unable to participate in developmentally appropriate typical preschool activities. With autism on the rise, it has been my goal to find a variety of learning resources to help students with sensory issues. A lot of the research shows how crucial sensory play can be for children on the spectrum. Engaging children can retrain the brains response to sensory information. This allows them to cope better in dealing with different sounds textures, lights, sounds, scents and taste. Please help me reach my students, and give them the tools they deserve.
