The students in my class are there to receive specialized instruction in small group or individual teaching. Areas that are addressed are behavioral regulation, academic learning, social-emotional well being, and functional communication. My goal is to make learning meaningful and relevant to their life, interests, and future. They would benefit greatly from learning by doing, and having a flexible and comforting learning environment where exploration is stimulating.
Students have a range of differing abilities, and require high levels of support to be successful in all areas. Academic knowledge is as important as social learning. My classroom gives students a safe place to be themselves, make mistakes, and grow.
All donations will go toward sculpting the classroom into that environment, and aiding the development of skills in all students no matter the ability level.
