Welcome to room 110 at Marquette Elementary in Chicago! This is a kindergarten, first, and second grade diverse learner (special education) self-contained classroom. There are 13 amazing learners in room 110. Students in this classroom are working on basic life skills like hygiene and cleaning up after ourselves, math skills like counting, comparing, adding, and subtracting, English Language Arts, and certain fun topics in Science and Social studies like weather, community helpers, holidays, and different cultures. The teacher, Ms. Bourell, and the paraprofessionals, Ms. Amato, Ms. Gunn, Ms. Salas, and Ms. Matthews put these items together to enhance the daily learning opportunities experiences for the children. We are so grateful to spend time with students who have a wide range of (dis)abilities including autism, developmental delay, Angelman's syndrome, & Downs syndrome
