In our 6th grade self contained special education classroom, all of our students are 3 to 4 grade levels below in reading. Many of them love to read but when it comes to choosing a book the students get frustrated because they can not find a book they can read in their reading level. We currently have less than 75 books in our classroom. Many of them are not in the students reading levels which make reading very difficult. Our students at our school are very sweet and are eager to learn, just need the extra support in reading to be a more successful learner.
