The best part of our school is our students! With about 500 kids, we have a very diverse community of learners who come from poor socioeconomic homes with about 65% being English Language Learners. My students are a part of this 65% in grades 1-3. Although they come from challenging backgrounds, they don't let this deter them. They are hard-working, motivated and eager to learn. Being ELLs, we do a lot of reading, writing, speaking and listening activities which is very difficult to do at a cramped table with no room to move. My students deserve to have a table that allows them to have space to work as well as be able to interact with each other and practice their English skills.
