A 7th grade ELA and high school ELA classroom are pairing up to do a shared reading, Refugee by Alan Gratz, in order to create authentic audiences for each other. Last year our classrooms paired up and we learned a lot from each other. This year we wanted to heighten that experience by having a shared text so our students could have asynchronous conversations about their shared reading. We're so excited to bring these conversations to life for our readers and thinkers. Along with the books, we'll be using the FlipGrid platform to facilitate discussions and writing about the text.

About my class
